How does it work?

The idea is not new. People have been listing items for sale on the internet for some time now. gorage.com has a straight-forward approach to selling items online:

1. Register for an account (sellers are registered as buyers as well)
2. Create a gorage (based on the number of selling spaces you need)
3. Pay for your gorage
4. Add your items
5. Manage your items and messages from buyers

It's that simple.

Buyers will be able to communicate with sellers about the items listed for sale. Once the connection is made, you're free to e-mail amongst yourselves to finalize the sale.

What does that mean for sellers? It means that gorage.com will not charge any fees based on the final sale price of the item. The only fee you pay is for any gorage that you set up.

How much does it cost?

What does it cost to use gorage? Buyers do not need to pay to use the site, nor do they need to register. However, registering for a buyer account has some advantages. More on that later.

If you are looking to sell your items on gorage, then here is the pricing:

00 - 10 spaces = $5.00 per 30 days
11 - 25 spaces = $10.00 per 30 days
26 - 50 spaces = $25.00 per 30 days
51 - 100 spaces = $50.00 per 30 days

Business Accounts (100+ spaces qualifies as business account)
101 - 500 spaces = $100.00 per 30 days
501 - 1000 spaces = $200.00 per 30 days
1001 - 1500 spaces = $300.00 per 30 days
1501 - 2000 spaces = $400.00 per 30 days
2001 and above = $600.00 per 30 days

The spaces that you purchased are called a "gorage". You can have multiple gorages of differing spaces if you choose. You simply pay for the number of spaces that your gorage has. Each gorage cycle is 30 calendar days, not just for the month. If you create your gorage on the 14th of the month, your gorage will be displayed for 30 days.

The first of many....

I decided to create a blog for our little project:

gorage.com

The word is pronounced go-räzh' or go-rodge. It's a play on garage sale, since that was the intial idea for the site..a place to have an online garage sale. The idea has evolved, so there are far more benefits than just a one time or occasional online garage sale. We'll post more about the site each day.

We'll post updates on the site development, enhancements...etc.

We'll be offering free 10 space accounts when we launch to help everyone get a feel for how our site works. Our hope that what we are offering has value for people buying and selling items on the internet...and that they spread the word about us.

The site is not currently at full function. We are finalizing some of the processes and hope to present the site in it's entirity to the internet world soon.
